Privacy Policy

This policy describes what personal information we collect when you visit this site, what we do with it, and what rights you have. It covers US state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and the EU General Data Protection Regulation for visitors in Europe.

1. Who is responsible

2. What we collect

This is a simple educational tool. There is no registration, no account, and no form to fill in. What still happens automatically is this:

• Technical and operational data. Your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the date and time of your visit, and the referring page. The server and our security and content delivery provider process these to deliver the page and keep the site up.
• Settings kept in your browser. Theme, table rules, keyboard shortcuts, and trainer progress. These live in your browser's local storage. They are never sent to us and we cannot see them. Details in the cookie policy.

Everything the counter computes happens inside your browser. Those numbers never leave your device and we do not store them.

3. What this site does not do

No cookies. No analytics. No advertising. No third-party tracking scripts. We do not build visitor profiles.

We do not sell or share personal information, and we never have. Under the CCPA that means there is no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" action for you to take here, because there is nothing being sold or shared to opt out of.

4. Why we process it, and on what basis

We do not process any category of sensitive personal information, and we do not use personal information for automated decision-making or profiling.

5. How long we keep it

Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations, typically a matter of months. Settings stored in your browser stay on your device until you clear them, and the cookie policy explains how.

6. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. The only processor involved in running the site is our hosting and content delivery provider, which handles the technical data required to serve pages to you. Where such a provider operates outside the European Economic Area, transfers are covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Know and access what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy;
• Correct information that is inaccurate;
• Delete your personal information;
• Limit how it is used;
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest;
• Take your data with you in a portable format;
• Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

These rights are set out for California residents in the CCPA and CPRA, and there are comparable laws in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and a growing list of other states. In Europe the same ground is covered by the GDPR.

To exercise any of them, write to the contact address in section 1. We will not charge you and we will not ask you to create an account. Given how little we hold, most requests can be answered quickly.

If you are in the EU or the UK and you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may also complain to your national supervisory authority. In the Czech Republic that is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7.

8. Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, with its effective date at the top.
